Small Business owners need Google

Just think about what you do when you are looking for something on the Internet – The vast majority of the population including myself, use Google!

So if the vast majority of people are using Google then you as a small business owner need to be easily found on Google. Right!

The interesting thing is that Google is so much more than an online search engine. Here are just a few of the solutions they offer and the vast majority is free.

Google My Business

One of the first things you need to have a look at is Google My Business. Firstly it is free. It is the easiest way to show your business off in Google search, plus to add your hours, contact details and customer reviews.

From here you can update your details anytime, add photos show how unique you are and more. Plus when someone searches your business name you show upfront and centre.

Google Analytics

If you have a website you MUST have Google Analytics set up and working correctly. If you are not yet connected then you are missing out on a huge amount of FREE yes free information about the visitors to your website.

Really the analytics speaks for itself and it is one reason that I do not need to provide reports from the My Sassy Business SEO work I do.

In one spot you can see numbers of visitors both new and repeat. You can see demographics, how they found you, what pages are the most popular and so much more.

Google Adwords

I am sure that you will have heard about Google Adwords. It is Google’s advertising platform that allows you to create ads that you pay for when someone clicks on them.

You can advertise locally or globally and with almost any budget. Naturally the more you spend on good ads the better the return will be.

It is important, though to remember that it is not always as easy as it looks to get the results you are looking for. Don’t just try for a week and wonder why it didn’t work. You will need to invest both time and money and maybe hire a professional to help.

Google YouTube Ads

Video marketing is usually something for the larger players in the marketing game. If however, you have a short video that you would like to promote via this platform then Google’s YouTube Ads can help you

Google for Retail

The world of E-commerce is getting larger every day and Google provides you with a solution to get your products in front of customers. Google for retail is another opportunity for you to get in front of your audience.

Google AdSense

Would you like other people and products to advertise via your website?

Google AdSense allows your website to become a platform for advertising and it costs you zero dollars. However, if people click on those ads then you earn money.

Google Apps for Work

This one-stop-shop is an amazing platform for business of all sizes and one I use daily. Personally, I have mine set up by Stanfield IT but you can set it up yourself if you are relatively tech-savvy.

It gives you so much all in the one place and for a very low annual fee. Cloud storage, Email, Calendar, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations and so much more.

Google +

Here you will find an entire community, which remains similar to other online social media. It is however always evolving and growing so I definitely recommend that you become a part of it. Plus it is yet another free platform from Google.

Conclusion

It is vital that your business embraces some or all of Google’s tools, as Google is there to help its customers find what they are looking for.

Remember that Google wants to look after all its customers and you can be a customer on many levels with them.
